When labour starts, the last thing you want is a complicated app. The contraction timer is two buttons — "Contraction started" and "Contraction ended" — and everything else is calculated for you automatically.

How it works

• Start a session — tap once to begin timing. The session clock starts.
• Tap when each contraction starts and ends — the timer counts up in real time.
• Live stats — count, average duration, and average frequency update after each contraction.
• Frequency tracking — see how long since the last contraction ended.
• Save or discard — save the session to your history, or discard it if it was a false alarm.
• Past sessions — view a summary of previous sessions with count, average duration, and frequency.

Just a timing tool

The contraction timer records timings only — it doesn't tell you when to go to hospital or call your midwife. Follow the guidance your midwife has given you. Every labour is different.
